Harry Takes on Duluth

Good morning pals. Harry is currently having a day. He’s been awake since 5 AM and seems to only settle down when I hold him. I can tell he is super tired but he won’t fall asleep. Come on buddy, get your rest!

I’m also still  not confident in my breast feeding skills and have been pumping and feeding him the bottle…at least he’s still getting breastmilk right? I just love him so much and want to make sure he’s getting enough nutrition.

I can’t believe how fast the days goes with a baby. I don’t do a whole lot but I feel like every time I look at a clock another hour has gone by.

Over the weekend we took a road trip to Duluth, MN to visit Aunt Molly. We left Friday morning and arrived to beautiful snowfall. You know, the big fluffy flakes that make you feel like you’re in a snowglobe? The flakes that make you want to listen to Christmas Music, decorate, and bake cookies? Yeah, those flakes.

Once we unloaded the car (I feel like I need a moving van for all our stuff now) and fed the bear, my sister and I took a little trip to the craft store to find a Holiday project we could make. Here is a glimpse of the project we decided on.

Turkey’s, Presents, and Trees…Oh my!

Dinner that night was at the Tavern on the Hill where I indulged in a lovely glass of wine and creepily stared at my baby. For dinner I went with the pork burrito bowl and we shared the fried pretzel sticks OMGSOGOOD.

Of course, we all had a craving for something sweet so we stopped at the grocery store for a Pumpkin Pie. Yum. My first pie of the fall.

Saturday morning arrived after about 4 hours of sleep and I decided I’d make a run to the Lake Superior Bakehouse. This might be my new favorite place in Duluth. They had a huge case of baked goods and I was only to pick 3…my what a feat. I went with a pecan caramel roll, scone, and cream cheese frosted cherry coffee cake. BEST CHOICES. I also got the best vanilla latte I’ve ever tasted. I kicked myself though for not thoroughly reading the menu and missing out on the lavender latte (they are my absolute fave). I was almost tempted to get a second latte but didn’t. I should have. Oh well. Next time.

Effffff

Saturday was very relaxing as it was cold AF. Molly and I did a little putzing downtown and went to the Duluth Coffee Company where I got the best decaf mocha and she got the cutest little cappuccino drink. I just want all the warm beverages right now obviously.

2018-11-10 04.14.35 1.jpg

Yum ❤

Saturday finished with a little baking and The Greatest Showman. I’m so mad because I fell asleep about 10 minutes in. I wanted to see that movie so bad.

Sunday came too fast and we arose to more beautiful snow. After a fantastic breakfast at the Vanilla bean (GET the wild rice porridge)  it was on the road and back to the cities.

2018-11-11 02.05.17 1.jpg

Going to try to re-create this!

Every time I visit Duluth I always want to move there. It’s so fun and beautiful, outdoorsy, and relaxing. One of the best places to visit.

I always enjoy getting home after a weekend away though and catching up on laundry, working out, getting back on track with eating and meal prepping. After unpacking all our shit yesterday, I took a trip to the gym for a speedy workout (I haven’t been going during the week on account of I have a baby so it’s nice to go on weekends when Sam is around). Here’s a snap shot of what I did:

15 minute alternating EMOM (Every Minute on the Minute):

Minute 1: 13 Squat cleans

Minute 2: 15 Squat throws

* Every 5th Minute-complete 60 seconds of Slamball Step Ups*

Then…4 sets of 5 reps Sumo Deadlift High Pull

Superset with 4 sets of 10 reps American Swings (heavish)

Then…5 sets of 400 meter sprints on the treadmill

Cool Down with walking and stretching

I loved this workout and am def a little sore today. Give it a try!

Now, I’m hoping to make some gingerbread donuts today if my cranky baby allows.

Have a swell Monday and fantastic week. It’s almost Turkey Day, the best time of year.

Holy Buckets Harry’s 1 Month!

I know people say time flies when you have a kid but shoot, time REALLY flies when you have a kid. Hare Bear turns 1 month in 58 minutes and I’m crying inside. I can’t believe you’ve already been here for an entire month…what was life like without you little guy?

To celebrate, we went to Harry’s weight check this morning. I was hoping he’d be at least 8 pounds 6 ounces…he shocked me and was a whopping 8 pounds 10 ounces! He’s gaining weight finally and I couldn’t be happier. He’s also about 23 inches long and has a good sized head but even better sized appetite (just like his dad).

I am still feeding him about every 2-3 hours except now he’s started to give me noticeable cues for when he’s hungry instead of me choosing when to feed…much easier that way. I still am supplementing with a bottle after every feeding but he hasn’t been taking much from that. I only pump when my boobs feel enormous (ever other feed) or he drinks a ton from the bottle. So, feedings have basically gone from an hour to 25 minutes. Swell.

I did take a few pics of Harry today because, well, duh. He’s a month old and kind of a cutie.

I don’t really know exactly what Harry likes/dislikes because he doesn’t speak yet but here’s my guesses:

Likes: Milk (duh), car rides, walks in nature, his sister Ruthie, snuggling, his dad, pulling hair, being fed, reading stories, being held, and watching sports.

Dislikes: Being changed, hiccups/burping, beans, cold hands and feet, and the Vikings.

Now to celebrate everyone surviving having a baby for a month, I’m off to bake some Chocolate Chip cookies and spaghetti. Have a magnificent Monday night!

Toodles!

Baby Harry’s First 12 Days

Hello!

Last night I got almost 7 hours of sleep (2.5 hours at a time) and am finally feeling pretty rested. Introducing coffee back into my life has been really cool and something I look forward to every morning (only 1 cup, don’t worry). I’ve washed myself every day so far except for one stretch where I went 3 days without washing my hair but a little grease is good for everyone sometimes.

Since bringing Harry (Harold?) home from the hospital, things have been pretty great. I’ve only cried 2 times (once because Sam asked me why I saved 1 egg, once because the dog looked so sad and depressed) and am adjusting to life with a tiny human, working husband, and jealous pup. Ruthie does seem to love Harry so much and is getting more adjusted every day. I try to give her lots of pets and kisses and even spoiled her with some new toys.

2018-10-05 08.14.49 1.jpg

The new norm

I’m trying to get us on a consistent feeding schedule and so far it seems to work best every 3 hours. Breastfeeding is tough stuff. Little Harry will latch on and suck for a little but then some times he’ll just sit there. He has been feeding about 30 minutes each time and def likes the left side better than the right (sorry your mom has an inverted nip buddy). Feeding time is so precious because of the little faces he makes and the baby toots he pushes out. I laugh so hard, he’s just so cute.

He did drop a bit of weight his first week (8 lbs 1 oz down to 7 lbs 3 oz) so I was feeding him then pumping, then feeding him what I pumped from a bottle (that could be a song…ya feed, ya pump, ya feed him that pump…whoop, go Harry, go Harry). That fattened him up to 7 lbs 9 oz…YAY! So now we are just trying to strictly bfeed but sometimes he still seems hungry so I give him a little bottle. Again, I’m trying to take each session as a win and remain calm/stress free. If the kid wants more food, give him more food.

The first few days I sucked at putting on diapers. He kept peeing through them (one time during a feeding and it dripped down my leg…how glam) and I couldn’t figure it out. Turns out I wasn’t putting them on high enough in the butt or closing them tight enough…I didn’t want to cut off his circulation but he seems just fine now that I’ve tightened them 🙂

Harry likes his Mama Roo and snoozing in the pack-n-play. He sleeps in his crib at night with his cactus night light and sound soother and I’m thankful we put him in there right away. His room is right next to ours so any time he wakes up we can hear him.

2018-10-05 08.14.47 1.jpg

My snoozing babes ❤

The weather here has been so fall so we’ve been doing some fall baking to stay busy. I made some homemade pumpkin butter and pumpkin donuts. I’m also going to whip up a batch of Grandpa Marion’s chili this afternoon. YUM. OH, I found a recipe for Tumeric Mocha Hot Chocolate I can’t wait to try this weekend. ALL THINGS FALL YO.

2018-10-05 08.14.45 1.jpg

Made frosting instead of Cinnamon Sugar sprinkle…oops!

Other things keeping us busy…visits with many friends and family (we are so thankful for you all and the meals and chats and snuggles you’ve given), walks with Chels and Milo at the park (so nice to talk to another mom), laundry (at least a load a day due to poop explosions and spitup spills), lavender baths, Target runs, vacuuming, walks with Ruthie, closet organization, and goal planning (I want write a book I think). I could get used to this mom life thing 🙂

I am trying to take it easy and stick to walks right now but am itching to get back into working out. I really want to take 6 weeks off to fully recover but it’s hard for me to rest that long. LISTEN TO YOUR BODY.

This weekend mom and dad are maybe going to go on a date…or maybe not. Sam has been so busy with work (school and his new business-squeegeesam.com check it out) so it’s nice to just hangout at home. I also want to have 1 small glass of wine but I’m SO nervous it will affect Harry! People have told me a glass is OK as long as you wait like 2-3 hours to feed but I’m still unsure.

So, that’s about all that’s new with us. Hoping to get to my parents this weekend for a hike then next week Harry is going to take his first road trip to meet my aunts and uncles and grandparents. Can’t wait.

Have a splendid weekend my friends!

XO

The 36th Week

Hello!

I just had my 36 week Dr. Appointment and it went well…except for the part where I got tested for some bacteria thing and they shoved a stick in my bumhole. Yeah. I wouldn’t recommend that.

The baby is measuring the right size, heart beat is good, and things seem to be right on track. I weighed in around 153 which means I’ve gained about 23 pounds in the past 9 months. I’m 100% OK with that. After today I have Dr. Appointments every Friday until the due date so can’t wait to see what happens next week.

Now, lets back up to last weekend real fast. Sam and I went to the MN State Fair with his fam and it was a blast! It didn’t even feel that crowded to me. And I survived 5 whole hours there without having a breakdown. So cool.

I drank many waters, got the best chocolate malt from the dairy barn, ate some french fries, walleye fingers, fried pickles, and had a bite of Sam’s pronto pup. All the things were extraordinary. Other things we saw at the fair…goats, cows, and people dodging horse shit. Can’t wait for next year.

2018-09-07 03.50.29 1.jpg

Dairy Queen

Alright, now back to this week. Things still seem pretty good as far as my feelings go. I haven’t had any crazy dreams, I haven’t spazzed at Sam once, I’m still pooping, no hems, and I can sleep through most of the night. Things that aren’t so great…this baby is pushing on my pelvis and it feels like it’s about to split in 2, my feet are getting a little swollen, and I have zero appetite in the morning (I asked the doc and she said that’s normal since my stomach is basically smooshed into my chest). I JUST want to be hungry!

2018-09-07 03.50.28 1.jpg

I’m carrying a puppy!

Cravings have been zero this week. Nothing really sounds good except maybe a donut? I can’t tell. Oh, and chocolate milk and root beer. Other than that…food is just meh.

I’m still managing to get a few good workouts in here and there although I’m thinking I’m going to be doing all at home workouts pretty soon because waking up at 4:30 am is really no fun anymore. I have been trying to take Ruthie for a walk before work now that I don’t start until 7:30 so that’s been a treat. I’ve also been doing a few treadmill “sprint” workouts and did a 2ish mile run on Tuesday. I don’t even care that I’m not running like I used to right now. There will be plenty of time to get back into it.

This week I had my second baby shower with my mom’s side of the family and it was an absolute blast. My mom and I drove over to my Grandma’s house on wednesday and met my 3 aunts for lunch. The food was delicious and I had a really tasty Root Beer. Then we headed back to Grandma’s house for the most delicious cheesecake from a European Bakery my Aunt Linda brought. SO good. There was a chocolate and a cherry and they were equally amazing.

After the cakes were eaten, we played some super fun games thanks to Aunt Polly. There was the frozen babies in ice cubes game and whoever’s melted first was supposed to shout “my water broke!” Grandma Lois won that one 🙂

2018-09-07 03.50.26 1.jpg

Baby Boy!

There was also the Nursery Rhyme game where you had to fill in the blank about nursery rhymes. I def need to brush up on my rhymes. We also played the candy bar game where you have to match the type of candy to the phrase….like Postpartum tummy=jelly belly. I loved this game because I love candy. The final game was pin the sperm on the egg (we’re all adults here, we can handle it). So creative, so fun.

After the games, it was time to head back home. Man, I have the greatest family and Baby wakey is so lucky.

This week I also got to have dinner with my 3 best gal pals and it was just the best. We met a place called The Sonder Shaker in Minneapolis and it was fantastic. The waitress gave some good recommendations and they even made a mock-garita. YUM. I sure miss margs.

All 4 of us split the deconstructed elotes and chips and guac and there was not a crumb left. Baby wakey gets hungry around 6 PM it seems. For the main course I went with the burger because it’s been a while and this burg did NOT disappoint. It had enough cheese, tasty pickles, and the best sweet potato fries. I’d eat that again.

2018-09-07 03.50.24 1.jpg

Burg and Fried

The gals gave me a prenatal massage giftcard (which was the most thoughtful gift ever!) and I cannot wait to use it next week. THANK YOU!!!

Now tonight, I am going to check out this thing called the Munchkin Market. It takes place at the fair grounds in Stillwater, MN and I hear it’s insane. If you’re a new or expecting mom you get in early on Friday so I’m really hoping to find some sweet stuff. Sam and I are also going to buy our travel system this weekend. I’ll update you on that next week.

For now, have a great Friday and PLZ DRINK SOME wine or a margarita for me.

XO

Third Tri Road Trip

I’m sitting on the front stoop as I reminisce (I can never spell that word) about last weekend’s road trip. You see, as a child, my family and I would travel to South Dakota every Labor Day weekend to see the Badlands, Mouth Rushmore, and the bison. Back in March, my sister and I planned to do this same trip and we picked August because I probs won’t want to do much besides eat ice cream and sit on the couch next month. My lovely parents came with too so we packed the 4 of us into their Suburban and made the 9+ trip out west last Thursday morning.

First off, I love road trips. My mom got us all Yeti’s for the trip and they rock. My dad controlled the music and we really enjoyed the Roadtrip channel on Sirius XM. Perkins was our first stop of course where we shared a cinnamon roll as a starter. I went with the banana blueberry pancakes and ate every last bit.

2018-08-15 06.37.33 2.jpg

Bumpin with dad outside Perkins!

After breakfast we hit the road again and made stops about every 2 hours because my bladder couldn’t handle much more than that. We arrived in South Dakota around 3PM Thursday and checked into our first cabin right in the Badlands (PS I never knew the Badlands were a National Park!). Let me tell you, the Bandlands always take my breath away even though I’ve seen them many times. After checking in, we unpacked, relaxed on the porch, then hit up the lodge for a yummy dinner of bison burger. Yes, I think it’s weird that my favorite animal also happens to be my favorite food. Oh well.

Everyone was pretty tired so we hit the hay nice and early. My sister and I woke up before sunrise to take a gorgi sunrise run to a really nice overlook. How romantical. Then we did a nice 40 minute hike through the Badlands before heading back to the lodge for breakfast and coffee. I love breakfast. I love road trips. I love bison.

2018-08-15 06.37.32 1.jpg

Badlands at Sunrise

After packing up our cabin, we made our next stop at Wall Drug. Yes, Wall Drug is an odd place but I feel like you have to make the stop if you are in the area. It’s a good place to buy crappy souvenirs except I did find a bison crossing sign for Baby Wakey’s nursery! PUMPED.

We left Wall Drug with and ice cream cone and all was well in the world. Our next stop was one of the best places ever. The Mount Rushmore KOA. It seriously is so nice there. There’s heated swimming pools, Basketball Courts, restaurants, ice cream, a pancake breakfast….sounds like a bowl full of fun if you ask me. It’s also about a 10 minute drive up to Mount Rushmore from the KOA. I just love it there.

After a delicious dinner of beef short ribs, we made our way up to Mount Rushmore to check on the President’s. Yeah, it’s still pretty cool to see those faces carved in the rock. Another must stop if you’re ever in the area.

That night we played 5 Crowns then fell fast asleep in our little camper cabin (NO AC but we survived!). Moll and I again woke up and took a nice little run around the KOA before heading to the all you can eat pancake breakfast. All of us could only fit our 3 pancakes and didn’t get to go back for seconds. BOO. But those pancakes…yum. So fluffy.

The rest of the afternoon was spent driving the Needles highway and through Custer State Park. This is where the Bison live! I was getting a little sad because we were almost to the end of the park when we turned a corner and holy shit there were probably at least 100 bison roaming the land. It was insane. They were blocking the streets, in the water…one even rubbed the side of the car. LIFE MADE.

That night we were staying at one of the coolest places ever…Sylvan Lake. Our cabin was right on the edge of a cliff and overlooking the mountains (I call them mountains…I guess they’re hills). It seriously is unreal the location of this place. The resort has a lake where you can rent kayaks (apparently we missed the cutoff for that though), and a fantastic restaurant. For dinner, we ate on the restaurant’s patio and it was glorious. Everyone had adult beverages but since I’m carrying a child, I ordered a chocolate milk. Best decision ever. It was like homemade chocolate milk. Topped with mass amounts of whipped cream. And a cherry. I could cry thinking about the beauty of that milk. I also must LOL at the fact that the children next to us who ordered chocolate milk did not get their’s in a fancy glass with whipped cream and a cherry…perks of being prego.

Dinner was amazing. Our appetizer of mango curry shirmps was devine. My bison stroganoff was one of the best things I’ve ever had. And to top it off, the apple pie was so good. Ugh, great last night!

2018-08-15 06.37.26 1.jpg

View from our cabin

After sitting by the fire for a while, I went to bed nice and early because I’m sleeping for 2. Sunday morning we woke up and were on the road by 6 AM to head back home. Oh, and we stopped at McDonalds for breakfast. I had an Egg McMuffin. I haven’t had an egg McMuff in years and it was just the icing on the cake to a fun trip.

It was a blast and I’m so glad my future son was along for the trip. Thanks mom and dad for the food, fun, and matching hats!

I leave you with a pic of my belly shelf. It’s the perfect size for the remote, a phone, or even my glass of water. How convenient.

Belly Shelfie

2 more days til the weekend peeps. I’ll update you on week 33 later because I’m too tired right now.

Week 23

23 down, 17 to go. YIPES! That’s not very many weeks. How fun! I have my 24 week check up Monday and am hoping to get Sam and I signed up for a couple baby classes in the next week. I’m really pumped (no pun intended) to take a breastfeeding class…Sam on the other hand…

The 23rd week brought a growing belly and even more protruding belly button. I can’t touch it, it freaks me out.

2018-06-08 01.58.23 1.jpg

Now we Bumpin!

2018-06-08 01.58.26 1.jpg

Outtie

I feel like I’ve been a little more tired lately so I’ve been sleeping in in the mornings and doing my workouts outside  after work since it’s been a gem of weather lately. I’ve now been going to Anytime like 3 days a week and doing at home workouts the other 2-3 days of the week. I still feel pretty good but take breaks when I get super tired and try not to let my heart rate get above 135. I’m loving the at home workouts though because I can take my weights and go out to the backyard and workout in the sunshine. Ruthie likes it too because she usually gets a PB treat to keep her occupied for the 13-15 minutes I can’t pay attention to her.

Runs have been nothing more than 3-4 miles. I have been running to the gym which is a nice 1.15 miles one way and a great way to warm up/cool down. My running pace now is about a 10 minute mile. Pre-pregnancy I was doing around 8:10 min miles so I am taking it much easier and it feels really nice. Ruth and I even went for a nice run this week….I probably enjoyed it more than she did.

I’ve also been taking Ruthie on lots of walks/hikes. There’s this great 6 mile loop at the State Park we try to do once a week. It tires her out for a couple days which is nice. She’s just so snuggly and adorable when she’s tired. Ruth and I also went for a fun walk with my gal pal Chels and her 11 month old son yesterday. It was Ruthie’s first time meeting an 11 month old baby and I think she did pretty darn good. It makes me feel better knowing she likes being around kids.

2018-06-08 01.58.28 1.jpg

Little Snuggle bug

Cravings this weeks have been kind of odd. I craved a tuna melt every day and finally had one last night. It probably was the best thing I’ve ever tasted. I’m also craving Italian Dunkers (if you remember these from High School)/Punch Pizza, Rice Krispies with blueberries and sugar, tacos, and hamburgers. Cool. At least it’s a fun variety of things.

I did have a spectacular time meal prepping last weekend. My mom gets the most amazing cinnamon rolls from work (except not anymore cuz she is now a retired lady!!!!) and gave me half a case (whadup rolls). You just let them rise for like 2 hours then bake and frost them. They are seriously the best cinnamon rolls ever. Besides the ones from Sand Pedro Cafe in Hudson. But that’s besides the point. So I made the rolls and frosted them then ate almost all of them. I got a hungry baby inside my belly OK?

2018-06-08 01.58.30 1.jpg

Does eating rolls give you rolls?

I also had some fun picking fresh rhubarb from the plant in our backyard. I’ve never actually picked anything from my backyard and I felt so cool going out with a pail and getting about 2 cups of fresh rhubarb. I decided to try my hand at a rhubarb crisp but since I only had 2 cups, I added strawberries and apples. It was super simple to put together and really the only bad ingredients in the crisp were the butter and the sugar (but are they really that bad?). I also pretty much ate the entire crisp but again, whateves Bevs.

2018-06-08 01.58.32 1.jpg

Crispy Crisp

I asked Sam what I should make for breakfasts and he sent me a recipe for egg cups with a sweet potato crust. I was very shocked to see he sent me a recipe with sweet potato in it. I’ve also never made egg cups so I tried those out. They looked disgusting and some of the egg spilled into the empty muffin tin slots but they tasted like a dream. They had ham and pepper and eggs and cheese. I’d probably make these again and double the recipe since it only made 8 and I ate 2 at a time. Again, I ate all of these. I asked Sam why he didn’t have any and he goes…”I picked that recipe because I thought you would like it.”  Aww man, what a guy.

2018-06-08 01.58.32 2.jpg

Getting J(eggy) with it

Other than that, my life has been pretty much same ole same ole last week. I did finish another book which was exciting and I currently have another waiting for me at the local Library. PS have I ever told you how much I love the Library? It’s the most magical place. You can get any book, movie, magazine…it’s pretty neat.

Sam also planned our baby moon road trip but is keeping it a secret. I am so excited!

I’m probably going to go vacuum or do something productive now. Have a swell weekend!

XO

If you Sprink when you Tink

Really thanking the high heavens we have air conditioning right now. I mean it’s schteamy out there. 90 and humid and all I want to do is dip my feet in a pool and eat mango fruit pops…that’s probably what I’ll be doing the majority of the weekend. Oh, yeah, happy weekend. Can’t believe it’s already the end of May…wtf mate.

Another week of being preggo has come and gone and I think my belly is growing every day. My appetite this week has gone insane and I feel like all I want to do is eat, eat, and eat. Cravings this week have included pizza, PB & J, ice cream, mac & cheese, a sprinkled long john donut, avocado toast with ham and a fried egg, always hamburgers, and pancakes/french toast. I’ve gained like 13 pounds so far this pregnancy so I’m indulging when I feel like it which means a cup of Neapolitan ice cream nightly. Soak it in sista because before long baby will be here and I’m sure I’ll be eating salads and vegetables….wait, who am I kidding.

Speaking of vegetables…last weekend I planted my very first garden. You see this spring I feel like I come home, hangout with my dog, eat dinner, and go to bed…hello Mrs. Boring! So I told Sam I needed a hobby. That hobby just happened to be gardening. My sister is pretty good at it so I frantically called her from the seed aisle in Menard’s and confessed to her “I didn’t know gardening could be this hard.” The man next to me looking at the pea plant seeds looked at me and chuckled with a sympathetic smile…”yeah, it’s pretty tough. Good luck.”

I’m up for the challenge. Sam put together a 4×4 raised bed for me and we filled it with planter soil and a bag of compost (tip from my sis).

2018-05-24 06.51.19 1.jpg

Lil buddies

I then drove to a few different stores to find my crops. For my pots I got cucumbers (hopefully they turn out so I can try canning pickles), cherry tomatoes, and green beans. I put these in pots because my sister said they need to be able to grow up on those metal vine like things. Sure sis, I’ll do whatever you say. For the garden box I planted sweet peppers, sweet potatoes (really hoping these work), buttercup squash (a secret surprise for Sam), tri-color carrots, and green onions.

2018-05-24 06.51.16 1.jpg

Final product

Now let me tell you a funny store about planting seeds in a garden. I didn’t really read the instructions on the packet before planting…I just assumed you dug up some soil, poured in the seeds, covered them, and called it good. I did just that with my squash then decided to take a speedy look at the back of the package…plant 2 seeds per 12 inches it said. I had just dumped about 12 seed in a 5 inch plot. Uh,whoops. Might be a little crowded in that section of the garden. Oh well, it was still fun to plant.

Besides the garden, last week was full of carpet cleaning and finally setting up the babe’s crib. I love it so much. Normally I’m a gray person but we decided on a lighter color “wood” look and it’s gorg.

2018-05-24 06.51.13 1.jpg

Can’t wait til there’s a little human in that bad boy. Funny story about setting up cribs…let the man do the work in peace. Sam was having some troubles so I got down on my hands and knees right in front of him and asked how it was going after hearing him say a few choice words…he did not appreciate that and asked me to vacate the room. Sure dude, I’ll go eat another mango Popsicle and watch you work from the couch 🙂

I also found this great diaper bag at Aldi for $16! Talk about a bargain. I’m hoping it lasts a while because I actually really like it. Like who knew diaper bags could be so freaking expensive! I’ve found some for over $100. I’m trying to save for diapers OK. I’m not a millionaire. Man, I should have gone into the baby supply making business.

This week I’ve been feeling pretty lazy so runs/workouts have been meh. But that’s okay, I’m growing a human so like that’s a workout in itself. I have been doing some hikes at the state park with Ruth and that’s been pretty enjoyable.

My fave girl and my fave place

Okay now lastly, let me tell you something that happened that shocked me but also made me LOL so hard. I was planting my garden and went inside to get some H2O because us pregnant ladies must stay hydrated. I didn’t think I had to pee so I headed down my stairs to the front door when suddenly I sneezed (sup allergies). Not only did I sneeze, I also tinked a tiny bit in my pants…like the instant I sneezed I peed. OMG. I didn’t know this happened. I instantly started laughing then had to pee more. Talk about a surprise!

So that’s been my week. Hope you’ve had a fun/exciting last few days before the long holiday weekend.

I’m probs going to get Chipotle so toodles!

XO
